Where do you get your ideas?
Ideas are a bit like that nosy relative who drops by your place when it suits them.
They don’t care if you’re under the shower, in the middle of a heated discussion or cutting vegetables with a big sharp knife. If a good one comes by and you don’t catch it, it might be lost forever.
I keep mine in a jar.
Since I don’t believe in inspiration, I like to be ready for times when I don’t know what to write about. This selection of story nuggets, the best ideas that caught my eye, hasn’t failed me so far.
‘Where do you get your ideas?’ isn’t exactly a popular question among authors, but for me, the answer is easy. I just open the jar and there they are, crisp and ready to jump into a story.
